24 May Purposed and Prepared but Still Perplexed!
I just want to say that I see you! I am proud of you and I see your many daily accomplishments. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone reinforced our worth and value daily? Well, guess what, we have a Father who confirms daily that we are worthy and valued in his sight. Now that you know that or rather now that you have been reminded of that, I’d like to ask you a question: Are you walking in your purpose?
Have you ever just known that what you are doing is what you have been “called” to do? I mean you know that you know that you know that you heard from God and you, albeit reluctantly, accepted the task he assigned and now you feel like things are not going quite like you believed they would go when you first accepted the task to which you were assigned? I hope I am not the only one who feels like this. I can’t count the number of times I have felt a calling deep within and prayed about it to make sure it was really God from whom I was hearing and not my inner me. I have been disappointed countless times because after doing what I thought I was called to do, despite my best efforts, I failed or thought I failed.
I’m reminded of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Can you imagine how she felt finding her beau, Joseph, courting him and then becoming his fiancee’??? Wow, he was the catch of the century and he chose “Lil Ole Mary!” Now imagine how she must have felt when she was gifted with the awesome task of conceiving, birthing and nurturing Jesus! I don’t know about you, but I would have freaked out to have a conversation with an Angel and then to be told that I was going to conceive (without ever knowing a man) and birth the Saviour of the World!!! Nah, God, I’m good! I am pretty sure I am NOT the one you want. Can’t you find someone else, someone more worthy?
Have you been tasked by God with a Purpose? Are you running from that which you know you are called to do? If so, that means you have been purposed and prepared, but you may still be perplexed as you are not quite sure how you fit into the equation or better still you may not know “why” you fit into the equation. That requires you to trust God and to know that he will not give you a purpose without preparation. The reason you are perplexed is that you know deep within that the task to which you have been assigned can only be completed by you. You are unsure of how others will receive you when you walk into your purpose.
Girlfriend, I understand! However, like Mary, you have to prepare yourself to hear the murmuring, the whispering, the finger pointing, and the laughter of others as you walk into your purpose. Focus on being obedient and fulfilling the purpose for which you have been prepared. If you need some cheerleaders, some encouragers, to know some women who have walked into their purpose (scared, trembling, and unsure, but still walking) reach out and we will gladly connect with you.
Purposed and prepared, but no longer perplexed, we are walking into the fullness of our purpose!!
